Comments:

An album with a lot of eclectic influences, Drifting in Circles does seem to use its title as a theme, especially the first track, "Blue-eyed Boy" and the fourth "Norma" which seem to dreamily circle around. Those are both immediately followed by lively tracks, the contrasting Latin-rhythms of "Dance" and the bouncy pop of "Song for George" and bouncy old-timely jazz of "One Day." "Falling" is a pretty lullaby with a jazzy feel. "Send My Love" is a power-ballad. "I don't mean to disappoint you" and "Cheesy love song" both have an old-time ballad feel, while "Saturday" and "Best day" bounce again to liven things up. Ending track "the wind and the rain" is a brief ditty to tie it all together. It's all united by Dafni's smooth vocals to make a truly enjoyable album. (sophiagurley@hotmail.com)
