Comments:

One listen to this CD will draw in anyone who loves contemporary singer-songwriters; she won me over on my first play. From this short, five-song ep it's clear that Gretchen Witt has talent to spare. Her vocals are sweet and strong and beautifully nuanced, and her musicianship (and that of her backing musicians) is strong. An impressive debut, with four quite different folk-pop tracks and one fun, driving, bluesy track to top it off. Contemporary folk lovers should be all over this one—I hear a lot of musicians working in this genre and this ep shows she is head and shoulders above most of them. Highly recommended.
