Comments:

This is one of those recordings where it feels like you are sitting in someone's living room, listening to them play and sing. That being the case, it has both the virtues of that feeling—a sense in intimacy, directness, and authenticity—and the downsides—that since you're not actually there, it lacks that in-person liveliness. While I enjoy this, it doesn't leap into my disc player. Their versions feel a little tentative, despite the evident musicianship. Overall, enjoyable for those who like stripped-down traditional music, but not essential. (Neile)
