Her promotional materials describe her as falling somewhere between Ani DiFranco and Joni Mitchell, and I suppose that's a fair description, though I wouldn't say she sounds like either of them. I can't think of anyone I would compare her directly to, though her music sounds similar to that of a lot of people. At times the Ani DiFranco influence can definitely be felt, and at other times her music could fit quite comfortably on a Joan Armatrading album. (email@example.com)

Most of the album is a little too pop-sounding for my usual tastes, but I have played it several times and enjoy it quite a bit. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes more pop- or mainstream-influenced music. There is some very nice piano playing (she plays piano and guitar), and her voice is strong and clear-sounding. There are definitely hints of more to come, particularly in the more stripped-down songs.
