Born August 31st, 1970 in Den Haag, the Netherlands. Started listening to music at the early age of 4, focused entirely on chart music.
Started buying (cheap) 7" singles at the age of 6, and have since built a huge collection of 7" singles, CD's and CD-singles.
Early idols included Kate Bush (since 1978), Kim Wilde (since 1981) and many commercial acts.
In 1992 I heard Tori Amos for the first time, which led to my exploration of the so-called "singer/songwriters" genre. I started to actually like Heather & Sarah, and then in 1994, when I was first connected to the Internet, heard Happy Rhodes for the first time.
Although the "edge" seems to has gone again, I now believe to have a broader view on music than ever. My likes include "obscure" artists like Noa, Milla & October Project, but also popular bands like Depeche Mode, The Corrs & Divine Comedy.
One thing to keep in mind when reading my comments: I always listen to music "in the background", so don't expect "difficult" music from me! :)
