Country of origin:
Type of music generally:
Ethereal instrumental traditional Celtic folk with New Age and mainstream pop influences; newer releases (Tell Me Why... and on) are humorous, funky mainstream pop
Most recent release, Destination Love (2010)
The music we've heard from Catya Maré's is ethereal instrumentals with Celtic and New Age-y influences. Apparently newer releases are more funky and humorous pop.
Recommended first album:
Destination Love is the first we've heard
2010 (digital download)
Catya Maré's music is tranquil and her violin playing is superb. She does a somewhat New Agey thing with expert timing and a subtle sense of atmosphere. She's somewhat reminiscent of Enya though her work is instrumental. It's a lovely album all told. (email@example.com)
