Jenny Magnus performs pretty weird and theatrical songs on this record. These mostly short songs have an appeal even outside the theatre, since they are edgy and literate. Any comparison seems foolish, but there's a touch of Tom Waits to her restless experimentation and a flavour of Veda Hille. And how can you not like a record where someone plays a paper fan?
