General comments:

Laura Cheadle plays funky, bluesy, soulful pop and sings deeply, richly, evocatively, backed by skilled musicians, most of whom seem to be part of her (obviously very musical) family. She can rock out and sing soulful ballads—all have a funky, bluesy, soulful flavour. (sophiagurley@hotmail.com)

Comments:

This album has a nice range, from funky love songs to bluesy rocking tunes. Stand-out tracks for me are the love song, "Perfect Design," the funky, soulful "Midst of Your Mystery," and especially the hidden, acoustic track, "Surrounded," which is just her and her guitar. This album is recommended for all fans of soulful, bluesy pop. (sophiagurley@hotmail.com)
